Tonya Price holds an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business. She has led Marketing, Web and Project Management teams at the Director and VP level. She is the founder of StrategicIdeas, a Web design firm, which was acquired by UltraNet Communications and later RCN. She has managed teams from 5 – 150 serving large corporate, mid-size and small business clients. She has also acted as a consultant to several institutes of Higher Ed and is the former Director of Marketing and Web Services for Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Director of the Project Management Office, Web Technologies Services and IT Governance Project Management at Suffolk University.
Tonya is a former Project Management Professional (PMP) and is active in a number of online marketing and Project Management forums and is always on the lookout for new strategies to improve the user experience and increase her clients’ bottom line. She has taught online and customized Web Project Management classes for eClasses.org and Web Professionals Organization.
TPC has also expanded to provide advice to University teams embarking on Enterprise cloud-based projects with a unique program to prepare teams to work with their chosen cloud-based services. Risk factors and all potential budget risks are identified and strategies developed to prevent budget overruns. This avoids the all too common problem of issues arising during the course of the project where tensions rise between the implementation team and the university leading to delays and increased costs.
As a published fiction and non-fiction writer, Tonya provides help to new authors as part of Business Books For Writers series (www.BusinessBooksForWriters.com) She is currently publishing a series of books for writers who are looking to get serious about developing a writing business. The first book in the series is, “The Writer’s Business Plan.” The second books is “Meeting The Writer’s Deadline” which is project management for writers and the third in the series “Completing the Writer’s To-Do List” is an introduction to time and task management.
